What is a B1 visa invitation letter? How do I get one?

AMOpportunities provides a B1 visa invitation letter for four-week clinical experiences, provided the visitor is eligible. B1 visas are for temporary professional visitors to the United States. This letter outlines the basic premises of your clinical experience and can be used to start the visa process at the U.S. Consulate in your home country.

After you schedule a visa meeting date, you will need to complete the following tasks in your AMO application in the Dashboard:

  1. Sign the clinical agreement
  2. Upload an updated CV/resume, Dean's letter or Diploma, and valid passport
If you would like to view a sample Dean's letter, you can find this in the Documents > Resources & Guides section
  3. Complete the Passport Form in the travel section via the "Request Invitation Letter" button
Once those tasks have been completed, we can generate your Visa Invitation Letter as long as your documents are valid.
