What happens if I am denied a visa?

You have three options available to you if you are denied a visa.

If you are denied a visa, there are three options. They are the following:

  1.  If you are still interested in attending an in-person clinical experience and you are open to reapplying for the visa, we can work with you to reschedule and/or change your program without additional change fees. In addition, we can also help you strengthen your visa application by requesting an additional support letter from your precepting physician. We have seen some success with this.
  2. We can switch to a virtual clinical experience or virtual research program which would eliminate the need for a visa. All of our virtual programs offer the opportunity to earn a letter of recommendation based on merit. If you would like to learn more about virtual programs, please click here. If you would like to view the list of virtual programs that are available, please click here.
  3. We can provide a 50% refund of your fees if you do not wish to proceed further with any AMO program.

Historically, our students have gotten accepted about 90–95% of the time.
