What happens if my expedited visa appointment request gets denied?

If your expedited visa appointment request was denied, there are three options. They are the following:

1) You can wait and check the appointment portal regularly to see if you can swap out your current visa appointment for a sooner date if/when one becomes available. In addition, some trainees have mentioned that the embassy/consulate will sometimes offer an expedited appointment date later on, automatically, even if they were not granted it initially.
2) You can switch to any virtual clinical experience or virtual research program in any available month, and we will waive the switch fee to do so. (omit-All) Our virtual programs can offer the opportunity to earn a letter of recommendation based on merit. Learn more here.
3) We can plan around your already-scheduled visa appointment, and postpone your in-person clinical experience to another month, or indefinitely.
If you were denied an expedited appointment, please reach out to your AMO Coach the confirm the denial. Please provide any proof given from the embassy in order to proceed with one of the options above.
