How do I obtain a BLS certification if this is required by my program?

Some programs require a specific organization with which you need to complete the BLS training/certification.

If your program mandates a specific organization, such as the America Heart Association, then the program requirement will mention that in the requirement's details. If the requirement does not mention a specific organization, then you can assume that you may complete the training through any credible/trusted certifying body.
For BLS certification through the America Heart Association, we always recommend contacting AHA customer support to see if there are any other options you may be able to consider for AHA BLS certification.
If you can't get a class near your location, and the AHA is unable to offer any alternative options, then you should get this training done in the USA as soon as possible after your arrival. Please also notify your AMO coach if this is the case.
Keep in mind that the inpatient portion of your clinical experience could be delayed if your BLS certification is received too late. It can take up to several weeks for hospitals to process and approve documents, so it's best to complete this training as soon as possible.
We try our best to make the enrollment process as easy as possible for our trainees, but we have to abide by the rules of the programs which is why the AHA BLS certification is listed as a requirement in the booking page before you reserve.
If you're not sure whether a particular organization may be accepted for the BLS certification, please feel free to check with your AMO coach before purchasing a course.
